It’s FriYAY! This has been a fun week on the blog and I hope you’ve liked this post series with Sanuk as much as I have. Today is the fifth and final day (and the last day you can enter to win a pair for yourself!) and just like the outfit from Day 3, I’ve added a warm layer to show how simple it is to up the cozy ante for the cooler Fall weather.
No matter what time of year it is, I love a pop of colour and the great thing about these cute shoes is they go with pretty much everything. A tank and skinny jeans are classic wardrobe pieces and are great as the foundation for a day- to- night outfit- just switch up your hair and add some pretty jewellery and you’re ready for drinks with the girls or date night with hubby. The bracelets from Quinsco that have appeared throughout this series are so pretty and I think they’re perfect arm candy for everything from casual to dressy outfits- those marble bracelets would be beautiful with a LBD, dontcha think? I hope you like the final outfit of the week & don’t forget to enter below!!!
Leather vest, sweater & hat- my own
That chunky sweater & black hat have become two of my favourite Fall & Winter pieces, and I think having a variety of neutral items that pair with more colourful pieces is a good style mantra. Those ‘Drop It Like It’s Yacht’ shoes are so comfy and they’re a great option to transition from Summer to Fall before you break out the booties and gumboots. If you’re like me and love some good vintage/ thrifted pieces, make sure you hit up The Rag Machine for some fun pieces for Fall. No matter if it’s a hair & makeup done kind of day, or a topknot and more coffee kind of day, I hope the 5 outfits from this week have given you some style inspo and show that you don’t have to think too hard to put a cute outfit together!
Who else is going to be rockin’ shorts into September??? I found these cuties at The Rag Machine and even though I’m a Canadian girl, I couldn’t resist the stars & stripes. Even when the weather starts to cool off you can pull on a pair of leggings and extend how long you can wear them. Paired with some closed- toe shoes like these ‘Drop It Like It’s Yacht’ Shoes from Sanuk (how awesome is that name?) and it makes for a cute outfit.
And what goes better with a cute pair of shorts than a classic tee? Another wardrobe staple that transitions through the seasons effortlessly. Pull on a cozy sweater when it starts to get chilly and you’ve got everything you need for a late Summer evening. Get your hands on a pair of Sanuks for yourself & make sure you enter below!
Can you tell I’m really just about having some fun with style? That tee from West + Wind is so soft and one of my favourites. I know these boat (excuse me, yacht shoes) will get a lot of love and I think it’s great how they go with so many things. They’re the perfect transition shoe for heading into Fall and would be super cute for you lucky people going on vacation soon. Even if you just dig flats & booties for Fall, why not pick up a pair for next Summer so you’ve got them? Yay for thinking ahead! 😉
Happy hump day all! It’s Wednesday which brings me to the third outfit in my style series with Sanuk. Hands up who pretty much lives in jeans most of the year? I love everything from a slim- fit dark wash to a distressed, relaxed pair. Basically I have a thing for denim and I’m not ashamed to admit it. The pair I picked up at The Rag Machine in this post are super soft and comfy and are perfect for shifting outfits from Summer to Fall.
I swapped in a couple of things with this outfit to take it from Summer casual to Fall cozy (plus it shows how simple it is to change the look of an outfit). As much as I hate saying goodbye to Summer, jeans are a favourite staple I’m looking forward to bringing back. I paired this outfit with the Yoga Sling sandals from Sanuk and love how comfortable everything was- proof that style doesn’t have to be tricky or uncomfortable. See all the outfit details below and make sure you enter to win a pair of Sanuks for yourself!
I love how simple swaps can change the look of an outfit. Pop on a snapback on a messy hair day for a cute casual look, or layer on a sweater to stay cozy. Jeans are pretty much fool- proof and I love how well this distressed pair from The Rag Machine goes with the Sanuk Yoga Slings. Kinda surfer- chic, dontcha think? Oh, and that bag was just plain fun for me. It was a super simple DIY project I whipped up and I love how it turned out (check the link to the DIY below).
It’s Day 2 of my Summer to Fall style series with Sanuk and before I go too far I have to tell you something about the sandals I’m wearing in this post: the soles of these babies are made out of yoga mats! I have never worn something so SO comfortable and I feel like I’m wearing slippers when I have them on. They’re seriously just. that. dreamy.
I’ve paired them with a denim skirt from The Rag Machine and shopped my closet for a long- sleeved shirt for a Fall- friendly topper. Before I bring out the booties and closed- toe shoes for Fall I’m going to rock these yogi sandals as long as I can. And heads up to all of you lucky people who are planning a vacation for the cooler seasons: you’ll want to pack a pair of these in your suitcase. And pick up another to wear on the plane. Basically, you just should just treat yourself. 😉
And don’t forget to enter to win from Sanuk at the end of the post!
I think it’s a great feeling when you can shop your closet and mix existing pieces with new ones. I’m guilty of hoarding clothes, but at some point they always get rotated through and worn. Classic pieces like a striped top are so versatile and go with pretty much anything (I’m looking forward to pairing this one with dark skinny jeans soon). These Yoga Sling sandals are amazing and as much as I love how cute they are, I’m even more thrilled with how comfortable they are. And that fact that they’re made out of yoga mats just makes my inner yogi smile.
When it comes to Summer winding down I’m a pretty big baby- I never want it to end. I love the warm weather and light nights, and all the fun things that come with the season. But then I start to think about cozy sweaters and boots and layers and it’s not so hard to make the transition into the cozier months. And just because August is coming to an end doesn’t mean Summer’s totally finished (even though it still reminds me of back- to- school as a kid and feels that way), right? Right!!!
I’m not going to lie, I’m pretty excited about this post and the next few coming up this week (there will be one each day Monday to Friday!). With help from The Rag Machine and Quinsco along with a few of my own pieces I’ve styled 5 outfits inspired by 2 pairs of shoes from Sanuk to help you transition your style from Summer into Fall. Starting off with today’s outfit that pairs a fun romper with a pair of boaty shoes, I’ve got an outfit a day for you this week! It’s not time to put away your Summer clothes just yet & let’s face it, rompers are just plain FUN. Oh and did you see that there’s also a GIVEAWAY? I get to give one lucky reader a promo code for any pair of Sanuks they want (your feet will thank you & you will love them!). The contest will be open all week and you can enter in all 5 style posts that will be on the blog this week. See below for outfit details & to enter!
I love that these shoes are a fun way to keep a little spirit of the Summer in an outfit as the cooler days return. As with all Sanuks I’ve worn, these are super comfortable and go with so many things, even when it’s not the middle of Summer. I scooped up this romper from The Rag Machine in Vancouver (an awesome used clothing shop that sells clothes by the pound– yes you read that right they sell their clothes by weight!) and stacked some pretty bracelets from Quinsco on my wrist. It doesn’t get simpler than that and added bonus: it’s super comfortable!
