Father’s Day Gift Guide

It’s here: The 2017 Father’s Day Gift Guide in partnership with Ava to Zoe full of ideas to spoil your favourite Dad. If you know the guy who ‘doesn’t need anything’ you’ll hopefully find something he’ll love within these pages. We brought together a selection of products from some of our favourite locals, many of them handmade and made right here in BC. Give a one of a kind gift for a one of a kind Dad (sorry couldn’t help a little corny sentiment because hey, it’s true) and support small business when you shop.

Enjoy 15% off with most vendors included.

Mother’s Day Gift Guide

It’s here! This year’s Mother’s Day Gift Guide has been a labour of love and I’m so excited to finally share it! My blogging partner in crime, Janette from Ava to Zoe, and I have been working hard on getting this gift guide put together over the past couple of weeks and enjoyed coordinating it as a collaborative effort between both of our blogs. We wanted to share some gifting ideas for those special ladies in all the forms of ‘Mom’ they come in, whether for yourself, your own Mom, or the mamas- to- be, and women who are hoping to one day be Moms themselves. We have gathered a group of brands owned and operated by some talented ladies, many of whom are mothers themselves, and we feel that we’ve got something special within the pages for everyone.

Mother’s Day is a chance to show our love and appreciation and we hope you find some ideas in this gift guide that help you show some love (or find some ideas you love for yourself so you can drop some hints). As an added bonus, a selection of the brands included have offered a 15% discount code so you can enjoy some savings while you shop. As moms, we often forget about ourselves or have a hard time finding ‘me’ time while taking care of others, but when you get the chance it’s that much more meaningful. We hope you can find a few minutes for yourself to make a cup of tea (or pour a glass of wine!) and have a look through. Whether you treat yourself, drop some hints, or find something for your own Mom, we hope you enjoy reading the 2017 Mother’s Day Gift Guide it as much as we enjoyed bringing it together.

Mother’s Day Gift Guide

May 10th is approaching fast & if the man in your life is notorious for leaving things to the last minute, this year’s Mother’s Day Gift Guide is up nice & early so you have time to scope out the goodies & give him plenty of time to take the hint. 😉
A fun little bonus about this year’s MD Gift Guide: All of the items included are offered up by businesses that are run by women. How’s that for a shot of girl- power with your Mother’s Day gift? #ladyboss 😉

This Mother’s Day give Mom…

… some pampering
A good bath can melt away a day of messes, stress, chasing bumpkins… pretty much anything.
Indulge Mom with luxurious milk bath by bebe de luxe made from organic coconut oil & oatmeal that’s free from parabens & other nasty ingredients. Pure, simple luxury. There are several options available, but I love the Luxe option that comes beautifully packaged in a glass jar ready to gift to a deserving mama.
$26
Visit the bebe de luxe website to order & find them on Instagram.

… a sweet treat
If the Mom in your house is anything like me, something to satisfy her sweet tooth is always a winning gift idea. And if you’re going to gift her a sweet treat, why not support another lovely Mama while you’re at it? Mama B’s Treats offers up delicious baked goodies and can whip up batches of treats sans gluten/ dairy/ eggs if allergies are a concern. She’s offering up adorable homemade & hand- decorated cookie gift sets especially for Mother’s Day that Moms will love (add a cute touch & have them personalized with Mom’s name for $2/ dozen).
Mini cookies gift set- $15/ dozen
Regular cookies gift set- $20/ dozen
Check out the Mama B’s Treats Facebook page to order.

…something to remember

We hear it all the time: they grow up so fast. Whether you have a special occasion you want to remember or just want to celebrate this moment in time with your family, photos make a beautiful gift (and don’t have to be super expensive).
I love the candid style the talented ladies at Pacific North Photography have, and as two Moms, they know that the little moments can provide the biggest memories.

Packages start at $200
Visit the Pacific North Photography website for booking info & find them on Facebook & Instagram.
Book by April 30th to receive a 10% discount.

…a few moments of bliss
It’s amazing how something as simple as a few precious moments to relax and a good cup of tea (that’s still hot!) can make a Mom feel appreciated.
The Mom’s Moment Bundle by Steeped Tea, includes a glass tea cup, loose leaf Earl Grey tea (one of my faves), and stainless steel infuser. A lovely gift for the tea- loving Mama.
$34
Available through independent Steeped Tea Consultants, like the lovely Chelle.
Visit her  website or Facebook page to order.
… some pretty little things

Diamonds might be a girl’s best friend, but something sentimental is priceless.
I love the customizable necklaces from Mint and Birch, like these Birds Nest ones (you can add an egg for each of your bumpkins). An adorable accessory for any mama bird.
from $28
Available on the Mint and Birch website & find them on Facebook & Instagram

… some retail therapy
Treat Mom to a day of shopping & send her out for a few hours to enjoy some uninterrupted time at her favourite stores.
Two of my local favourites are Muse Social Fashion House & MACCS with their gorgeous pieces that won’t burn a whole in your credit card (but I can’t promise you won’t come away spending some $$$- it’s hard to pick just a few things to take home! 😉 ).
Shown: White lace dress- Muse Social Fashion House
Grey Playsuit- MACCS
Click the links above to check out their latest offerings & find both on social media:

I hope all you deserving Mamas have a wonderful Mother’s Day full of love & memories made!
