Easy DIY Easter Bunny Bags

Ok, we all know Easter baskets are the classic when it comes to holding all those Easter treats (see this post for more Easter gifting ideas), but how cute are these little bunny bags as a twist on the classic for Easter parties? If you need a last minute idea for when the Easter Bunny comes or want to hand out treats for Easter, these little bunnies take minutes to make and are perfect for popping in all those Easter egg hunt finds or giving away fully loaded with Easter treats. All you need are a few items from the dollar store or craft store if you don’t already have them at home (plus if you’ve got older kids this is a fun and easy Easter activity to do with them). See below for the how-to.

Materials

  • paper treat bags (hello dollar store!)
  • permanent marker
  • pom poms ( I used little tissue ones because that’s what I had on hand)
  • white & pink construction paper
  • glue gun & glue stick
  • optional: ribbon or other cute finishing touches

Directions

1.Cut out ears from the white construction paper based on the size of your paper bag, then cut out centers from the pink construction paper and glue onto the ears

2.Glue the ears onto the inside of the front of the top of the paper bag. If you need to, use some tape for extra security/ to help hold the ears up

3.Draw eyes and a nose on the bag using a permanent marker

4.Use the glue gun to attach the pom pom to the back of the back of the bag about 1/3 of the way up to create a tail

Optional: if you’re giving away the bags filled with treats, you can secure the top with a cute ribbon or some twine, or fold over a piece of tape along the top

Now just fill those bags with treats or hand out to eager little easter egg hunters for some Easter fun! From start to finish these bags only take about 3 minutes to make, so if you need to make a bunch of them you don’t need to worry about them taking too much time.
